How It Works
(rules ripped from 30_kisses)
[x] Claims: You (and up to one other collaborator) may claim up to two couples at a time. The only caveat is that they must be from two different fandoms. Please note that if you claim two couples, you are committing yourself to complete all ten themes for each of the two couples. When a couple is claimed, it counts for both writing and art. No one is required to do both, but it's definitely encouraged.
[x] Specifics: Original characters, original stories, crossovers between two fandoms, AU stories, RPS, and songfics are all acceptable. Icons and/or banners are not. (Try iconfiend100 for things such as that.)
[x] Request: Just let me know that you're participating in the community. As of right now, I'm doing away with the claims request list because of time constraints.
[x] Done!: When you are done with a couple or decide that you can't/don't want to finish, please leave a comment in this entry. You cannot request a transfer of your couple to another person but someone else is free to request it as soon as you drop it.
[x] The Deadline: No deadlines for right now for the same reason I'm not requiring people to request a claim.
[x] Posting: Only fic/art may be posted to this community. (Advertisements for other communities are absolutely not tolerated.) You may use fake cuts, but you must have the correct subject and header information as well as a link to its actual location.
[x] Please respect the characters, and please respect your fellow authors/artists. If someone is writing using their original creations, anyone wishing to use those creations must ask the author's permission.
[x] Viewing/Watching the Community: This is a must. When it comes time for the purges, I announce them one month in advance and when the claims list will be closed. It is the responsibility of the author/artist to keep track of their own progress so when a purge does come, (s)he knows whether or not to update the claim or ask for an extension. I'm pretty lenient when it comes to posting but I do expect to hear something when it comes time for a purge.
____ The Idea
[x] Order: Themes do not have to be written in any particular order.
[x] Interpretation: Feel free to interpret each theme however you wish. Just remember, fashion must be involved. It doesn't need to be the focal point, but it must be in there one way or another. The interpretation of what constitutes as "fashionable", however, is entirely up to you. We are all unique when it comes to what we like to wear. ^_^
[x] Style: The style of your entries is completely up to you. For authors, it can be as short as a paragraph, or as long as a multi-chaptered novel. For artists, it can be a full watercolor or the five-minute sketch you did before class. All that's important is capturing the feeling of the theme.
[x] Works in Progress: You may submit works that are in progress, but please don't make a habit of submitting works that you've already finished and have made public somewhere else. The idea is to challenge yourself on something new.
[x] Format: When you post, please use the following format:
Subject line: Title (fandom, pairing, challenge #) For example, the subject line for my drabble for challenge #02 (satin dreams) would be: Red Satin (Inuyasha, Inuyasha x Sango, #02). Note: I'm not going to be too picky about subject lines. Just keep the entries fanfic/fanart related. :)
Header: Title: Author/Artist: Pairing: Fandom: Theme: (include the # and the theme) Disclaimer: (yes, you need one every time! unless you're doing your own original work, in which case I'd suggest including a claimer.) IF YOUR FANDOM INVOLVES REAL PEOPLE, your disclaimer MUST state that your fanworks are purely fictional and do not imply any actual relationship or event. Warnings are also a must, especially if your story contains spoilers or male pregnancy or anything else that someone else might find to be somewhat "squicky."
[x] LJ-cut: Anything longer than a paragraph and ALL artwork must be put behind an LJ-cut.
[x] Ratings: All ratings are welcome, but anything of an R or higher rating must be clearly marked as such in front of the LJ-cut.
[x] Plagiarism: will absolutely not be tolerated.
[x] Feedback: is encouraged. Please state the type of feedback that you're looking for as well.
[x] Posting. While I am lenient about how often something gets posted, I would like to see something posted at least once every other month and definitely before the purge dates. I completely understand that real life can get in the way sometimes. However,if things become too much and you can't see yourself continuing with your claim, please let me know.
Q. Are threesomes, solo characters, or even general series/relationships allowed?
A. Threesomes will be accepted for this community. Solo characters and general series claims will be denied.
Q. Is it really a big deal if both your claims are of the same fandom? Could you claim twice within the same fandom, and if someone else wants one of those claims then you can be confronted about it then?
A. Yes, it is a big deal to have two claims in the same fandom. Truth be told, and this is something I agree with from the other communities like this one, it really is NOT fair to try and claim two couples from the same fandom for yourself. If you want two different couples from the same fandom, request one and complete the challenges. Then you can move on to the next couple, if it is available. You wouldn't want to be asked halfway through your challenges to stop what you're doing so someone else can claim the same couple you've requested.
